Reflecting On My Workshop Experience
The first time I heard that everyone in our class had to go to the writeing center and have our paper reviewed in order to even be turned in i honestly thought that that is silly and will be a waste of my time. And i didnt enjoy the fact that i had to go to my appointment for the writing center at 4:00 when my classes ended at 12:00 and i had to wait at school. In english class we took a trip to the writing center before so we knew where it was and how to use it exactly. we met all of the tutors and attendents in the writing center in class before we had to make an appointment. When Iwent in to the writeing center for my appointment I went in very tierd and in a normal yet frustrated manner because I had to be their at 4 o clock and waited till 12. In class the day before we had group discussions in groups and the goal of our disscussions was to find a question about our paper that would help us enhance it in any way. My question was "How do i make my paper longer" because i was haveing troubles doing it because it was supposed to be in the form of a email and im my mind emails are short and to the point so i didnt know how to make it 300 words long. When I sat down with my tutor we first disscussed exactly what i had to do and the format my paper so we didnt make any mistakes about writing it. After we disscussed the requirements for the paper we began to actually write the paper and i was very supprised and pleased with how much my tutor helped me in makeing my paper much longer than what it was and how he showed me how to make it flow into one entire well done paper. He took it litteraly sentence by sentence with me so i fully understood what i was writeing and how it helped the paragraph and paper. When we were done I had an entire paper full of notes and things i should incorporerate in my paper. When I left the writing center that day i left extremely happy because I recieved so much help on paper and learned so much helpfull information about how to correctly write a paper.
